I have now been studying Media, Promotional Culture and Advertising at the University of Huddersfield for just over a month now. So far, I’ve enjoyed a couple of the modules, such as Technology and Writing for the Media and Storytelling. I’ve enjoyed these because I’m actually learning something new and what I haven’t done before, unlike the other modules where I’ve done them in college for my BTEC.
Overall, I quite like the University. The buildings all have a modern feel to them as the computer suites are all up to date and some even have Apple Macs in them! There’s colour co-ordination throughout the Uni, blue and grey being the most noticeable and it looks very professional. In my opinion, all the tutors are very friendly and some are quite funny. They give everyone the chance to speak and help everybody out, no matter how big or small the problem.

At first, I didn’t think I would enjoy my time at University, due to the stress of difficult work and travelling to and from every day, but the people I’ve met so far are amazing and have made me feel comfortable very fast and now I’ve been feeling like I will enjoy my time and I look forward to starting my second year where I can choose my own modules.
